On 14 May, BIKE (a Guangzhou cycling NGO) organized its second discussion forum for “Low Carbon Travel”. ITDP co-hosted the discussion forum, with attendees including the Guangzhou Planning Institute, Guangzhou Transportation Planning and Research Institute, Guangzhou Ruitu bike sharing company, UNDP, the Guangzhou Award Office, media, and members of the public, with around 50 participants in total. Shaokun Liu was interviewed by the Nanfang TV channel. At the forum, Bike also issued a press release marking the launch of their “Guangzhou downtown area cycling situation” report that ITDP provided technical input to.
